Use proper heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.) - don't just make text bigger and bold
Add alt text to images - describe what the image conveys
Use sufficient color contrast - text must be readable against backgrounds
Make tables accessible - designate header rows
Use descriptive hyperlink text - avoid "click here" or bare URLs
Use built-in lists - use bullet/numbered list buttons, not manual formatting
Avoid text boxes - use document body text instead
Don't use blank lines for spacing - use paragraph spacing settings
Use columns feature for multi-column layouts - don't use tables or tabs
Ensure logical reading order - content flows top to bottom correctly
