Changes To Access Rights

Requests we receive to provide, remove, or change access to your food service system for any member of your team, including cashiers, are always treated as a priority and follow a defined process. 

To assure the safety of your data, we must always verify that access change requests are legitimate. This is accomplished by assuring that requests are authorized by your school district's food service trusted agent, Business Official, or Superintendent. This brief process assures we aren't adjusting access to your data for anyone who might call or email requesting a change. This is a CNYRIC-wide procedure and can not be bypassed.

When an access adjustment is received, we immediately contact the district's trusted agent by email or phone and ask that they send us an email (addressed to FoodService@CNYRIC.org) explicitly describing and granting the change. That email should contain the full name and email address of the individual whose access will be changed, as well as the level of access the person should be provided or have removed (typically described by the responsibility they have on your team; cashier, site manager, food service director, etc). We will not create any generic, un-named accounts.

To be as efficient as possible about implementing access changes, we recommend sending an email directly to your district's trusted agent containing the information requested above. Your district's trusted agent may then forward that email to FoodService@CNYRIC.org and add their written approval for us to make the described access changes. Implementing those changes will be our priority.

If you are not sure who has been designated as your district's trusted agent(s), please contact us and we can provide those details. If the district needs to add to or change the list of trusted agents for any CNYRIC service, district Superintendents and Business Officials are provided those permissions within the CNYRIC secure portal. If access to the portal is not presently in place for those two roles, our Help Desk team (helpdesk@cnyric.org) can provide that access along with all the instructions needed to work within the portal.
