COSER

A CO-SER is an approved cooperative agreement to establish a shared service for one year between a BOCES and two or more districts. Services are provided at the request of component districts to respond to an established need, and must be shared. Additional details are available in the BOCES handbooks from NYSED. CoSers are identified by two codes, one referencing the service as defined by the NYS Education Department, and one referencing the service within OCM BOCES. The OCM BOCES codes for our services all begin with 620.650, and appear in the format, 620.650.xxx. This is sometimes referred to as the WinCap code (WinCap is the financial system used by OCM BOCES).

TANF

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. TANF stands for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. The TANF program, which is time limited, assists families with children when the parents or other responsible relatives cannot provide for the family's basic needs. The Federal government provides grants to States to run the TANF program.

Trusted Agent

Trusted agents are employees of school districts who have been given authorization by their employer to make decisions about how data and access rights are handled in designated CNYRIC-managed systems. Trusted agents are assigned by their Superintendent or Business Official via updates those individuals make in the CNYRIC Secure Portal.
