About the Director

James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez is the Director of Bands at Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate School in Eastvale, CA.  His musical career began in Fontana, CA where he participated in all of the band programs he could enroll in at his school.  James received his Bachelor of Music in 2012 from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona).  In 2014, James student taught under Phil Ruiz, Band Director at Diamond Ranch High School, to receive his teaching credential.  

James was the Director of Bands at Vista Heights Middle School in Moreno Valley, CA for 6 years. In addition to being a band director, James has also worked in music technology, recording, as a guest conductor, as well as the honor band manager for the Moreno Valley Unified School District. 

James currently is the Director of Bands for Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate School in Eastvale, CA and teaches guitar, band, and jazz band.
