When you're not feeling your best, it can impact your academics as well as other areas of your life. CNU cares about the WHOLE you, and wants to support your wellness and your ability to get the most out of your classes. The Office of Counseling Services can help you address not only getting to class, but the causes of the problem and how to cope with it. For those who are not interested in counseling, the Center for Academic Success can also support you in overcoming obstacles interfering with your academics, and our Fitness Services Office may also be of use in helping you to feel your best.
Office of Counseling Services
The Office of Counseling Services is a free and confidential resource for students located in the Freeman Center. They can help students dealing with a variety of stressors, including depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, and unforeseen events that you don't know how to manage. They can provide support, help you develop a plan, and connect you with other resources on campus that will help you get back on track. They are available for appointments during business hours M-F, and available 24/7 in the case of an emergency. It's easy to set up an appointment to meet with a counselor-- just call 757-594-7047 or even walk in and they will ask everything they need to know to get you connected to help.
