Filming video is just like taking pictures but with the added component of motion and time. Here I share some key tips for recording video and a great budget audio solution.
Over one summer, I worked for Freedom Boat Club of Northern Virginia creating video content for Youtube and other marketing projects. At the end of the summer, I interviewed members and staff and created this video to tell the story of FBC. You'll notice the wide variety of footage used throughout the video, with visuals relevant to what is being said. This took intentional filming of many different aspects of the business. The story is comprised of interviews that are split up and grouped based on topic and question. The music paced the video and maintained the same volume level to not distract from the audio experience. This video remains one of my favorite videos I've created because of the variety of footage I gathered. Of course, very early in the summer, I had enough footage to create a 4-minute long video, but utilizing more footage tells a more complete visual story.
