I have found that I am inspired to create pieces that entertain thoughts surrounding my own identity. Sometimes this means idealistically, other times critically. I especially like to use myself as a subject for larger themes like women's and Black empowerment. Recently, other artists have inspired to recreate their own works and I just throw a hint of individuality on top. Really I create what my professors encourage me to do, and emphasize my own version to the best of my newfound skillsets. I want people to look at my work and think "what inspired that?"
