To be a compassionate and trusted digital platform that empowers Filipino mothers with accessible and culturally relevant health information, grounded in integrity and collaboration, supporting them through the critical first 1000 days of life and fostering a generation of resilient, healthy families.
We are a group of nursing students working to bridge the gap between healthcare knowledge and everyday life for Filipino mothers. Through this platform, we share straightforward, DOH-based information that helps mothers make sound decisions, stay steady in uncertain situations, and care for themselves and their children with confidence. We uphold values of honesty, compassion, and clarity in everything we share, and we strive to create a space where no mother feels left behind. No matter her background, circumstances, or concerns.
ALIMA was born out of a shared vision by a group of nursing students who saw the urgent need to support teenage mothers through compassionate, accessible, and evidence-based education. During our community health exposure, we encountered young mothers who were eager to care for their children but lacked the proper guidance during the most critical stage of their babies’ growth—the first 1000 days.
Moved by their stories, we created ALIMA, a digital platform that bridges nursing knowledge and maternal empowerment. Inspired by the Filipino word “alima”—which means to nurture or care—we hope to extend our hands to young mothers, so they never feel alone in their journey.

This platform is a community engagement initiative developed by third-year nursing students from Cebu Normal University as part of our Nursing Informatics course requirement.
Supervised by our clinical instructors and guided by Department of Health and World Health Organization standards, ALIMA aims to uphold both academic excellence and social responsibility in promoting maternal and child health.
