Come and set your foot a-tapping to the swinging sounds of the Jazz Messengers ensemble. Led by Mr Ron Muir, this ensemble takes their name as a tribute to Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers from America, a group which nurtured jazz music from the 1950's to the nineties and introduced bebop to a wider audience. St Mary's Jazz Messengers enjoy playing a variety of jazz and rock music and have a strong emphasis on improvisation which the essence of jazz music.
