Upcoming Events 

• Please mark your calendars for our largest fundraiser of the year! The Red/Blue Gala is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Babel’s Barn in Wood River. You can purchase tickets online at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/redbluegalaauction/

  • Our next planning meeting is January 12th, 5:30 p.m. at the high school. All are welcome to attend.

• Visit Day is on January 16th! Area students in grades 5-8 are invited to attend and see what Grand Island Lutheran High School is all about. More details coming soon! RSVP Here.

• Winterball is January 30th from 8:00pm-10:30pm. Tickets are available in the school office. $10 per person or $15 per couple. Outside date forms are due in the office by January 26th.

General Announcements 

• Come support the GILH Boosters anytime TODAY at Papa John’s. 25% of sales will come back to the Booster Club! Flyers were sent home with students and can also be picked up in the High School Office. **A flyer must be presented at Papa John’s to qualify for the fundraiser.**

• No School on January 19th and January 30th

• Information regarding registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be sent out soon. Please be on the lookout for those details in the coming weeks.

• On Thursday, January 29th, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, the Grand Island Lutheran National Honor Society Students will be hosting a Blood Drive for the Red Cross. Please consider coming in to make a donation and helping them reach their goal of over 30 usable units -reaching 30 usable units will make GI Lutheran students eligible for a Scholarship through the Red Cross. Your donation will not only help the Community but also GI Lutheran students. Please sign up online, via the Blood Donor App, or contact the GILH office at 308-385-3900 or a donation time.

• Senior and 8th grade basketball parent night will be February 3rd. 8th graders and their parents will be recognized between the Junior High girls and boys basketball games. Seniors and their parents will be recognized between the girls and boys varsity games.

• Trinity Lutheran School PTL has a limited number of discount cards left over from their fall fundraiser. They are now $5 and include a number of deals from area restaurants and businesses! They do not expire until August 2026. The cards may be purchased in the GILH office, Trinity Lutheran School office, or Trinity Lutheran Church.
