• The Homecoming Dance is October 3rd from 8-10:30pm. Tickets are available in the school office. $10 per person or $15 per couple. Outside date forms may be picked up in the school office and are due back by September 28th.  

• Homecoming week is coming up September 28th-October 2nd. We are looking forward to a fun-filled week!

General Announcements 

• We are excited to share the first edition of our new activities newsletter! Published every other week, the Lightning Buzz will keep you updated on everything happening here at GILH! • Trinity PTL has discount cards available for purchase in the GILH office. Cards are $15 and offer discounts from a variety of local stores. 

• This year we are doing monthly offering projects which are coordinated with both the elementary and high school. Some of these months will be monetary donations, and some will be item donations. We will collect any money offerings in a basket when entering chapel on Wednesdays at the high school. During the month of September, we are collecting money for Orphan Grain Train!  

• Support the GILH Boosters and Trinity PTL at Runza on Webb Road on September 15th from 5pm-8pm.  Both drive in and dine in orders qualify!  

• On Tuesday, September 29th, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, the Grand Island Lutheran National Honor Society Students will be hosting a Blood Drive for the Red Cross. Please consider coming in to make a donation and helping them reach their goal of over 30 usable units -reaching 30 usable units will make GI Lutheran students eligible for a Scholarship through the Red Cross. Your donation will not only help the Community but also GI Lutheran students. Please sign up online, via the Blood Donor App, or contact the GI Lutheran office at 308-385-3900 for a donation time.  

• Activity Passes are available for purchase in the Grand Island Lutheran High school office and will also be sold at home sporting events hosted by GILH. The cost of a Family Activity Pass is $175, and an Individual Activity Pass is $100. Passes are valid for admission to all regular-season home athletic events hosted by Grand Island Lutheran High School.Activity Passes are not valid for tournaments, conference events, post season competitions, or the school Drama Production. 

• School picture retake picture day is September 30th.

• The next Booster club meeting is September 15 at 6:00pm in the commons area at the high school. Come share ideas and help support our student activities and extracurricular programs!  See the information below for details on how to become a Booster Member!
