I wanted to share some exciting news about the STEAM activities our students participated in during the third quarter.
Throughout the quarter, our students engaged in various hands-on projects that fostered creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. One highlight was the paper airplane challenge, where students designed and tested different paper airplane designs to hold pennies while traveling a specific distance. This activity allowed students to explore the principles of aerodynamics and encouraged them to think critically about the design and construction of their airplanes.
Another project that our students thoroughly enjoyed was creating LEGO islands. In this activity, students were tasked with building their islands using LEGO bricks. They had to consider various factors, such as their islands' size, shape, and stability. This project taught them about resilience and adaptability and allowed them to apply their knowledge of engineering and architecture.
Additionally, our students had the opportunity to build marshmallow launchers. This activity focused on exploring the principles of physics and trajectory. Students had to design and construct their launchers using everyday materials such as popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and plastic spoons. They then tested their launchers by launching marshmallows and observing the trajectory and distance covered. This project sparked their curiosity about physics and encouraged them to think critically about the factors that affect projectile motion.
These activities provided valuable opportunities for collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Our students worked in teams, communicated effectively, and learned from each other's ideas and perspectives. They also developed essential skills such as resilience, adaptability, and perseverance when faced with challenges or setbacks.
Thank you and the school administration for supporting these enriching activities. Your continued support and encouragement have been instrumental in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our students.
If you have any questions or would like more information about these activities, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your time and continued support.
