A reminder that students will bring their bags to the Lutwiche Gym on Friday 29th September by 8.30 at the latest.
Please remember that mobile phone are not allowed on the trip but if students wish to take them. They must be handed in before they get on the coach in an envelope with their name on. Medication will also need to handed in with their name on. Please could you ensure there are no products from the nut family, as we have staff/students with severe nut allergies. If they have an epi-pen please ensure they have two in date ones for the trip. Students with asthma must hand in a spare inhaler.
Students will attend a briefing in the next couple of weeks with regard to behaviour expectations whilst away and students will choose their activity and tent groups. You will receive an on-line medical consent form our Evolve system please read and complete carefully before submitting. The parent information evening will be on Tuesday 19th September at 18:00 in the College Lecture Theatre.
We strongly recommend that all items taken on the trip are named as much as possible, this will limit lost property. A waterproof jacket and changes of warm clothes are essential. Please see the suggested kit list below:

When packing please remember that the weather in September/October can be variable and very cold! Choose equipment accordingly – it could be cold at night and rain is possible!

Plenty of rough warm clothing e.g. leggings, tracksuit bottoms, jumpers
Three complete changes of clothing (including footwear) for canoeing
Small amount of spending money
Towel & wash kit
Drink bottle/flask
Torch and batteries
Waterproof laundry bag for wet and dirty clothes – labelled if possible
Hat and gloves
Spare pair of rough shoes, boots or trainers
Small rucksack
Sunblock
Knife, fork, spoon, plate, bowl, mug (unbreakable)
Snacks e.g. chocolate bars etc.
Swimming costume
Tea towel
Wellington boots (optional)
Hand sanitiser
Antiseptic wipes
Any medication e.g. Inhalers to be handed into Miss Cunningham on Friday clearly marked with student’s name and instructions
Notes: Students should not bring anything of value or that could be damaged by rough wear or dirt - expensive items are unsuitable.
Mobile phones must be left at home. This is for safety reasons – students will be able to call from a teacher’s phone if necessary.
Please note that sweatshirts are not jumpers - you need wool or 'fleece' jumpers for warmth.
