-communicating feelings

5. Observe

6. Reflect

-what can I add?

-what can I change?

7. Stretch and Explore

-taking risks

-experimenting

8. Understand Art Worlds

-art history

-types of art

-roles of artist

-art in the community

Students get an art grade each quarter. The grades range from 1-4. Each grade is a reflection of where the students fall in the eight categories above.

4 = the student goes above and beyond to demonstrate the 8 Studio Habits

3 = the student does a very good job of demonstrating the 8 Studio Habits

2 = the student struggles with demonstrating the 8 Studio Habits

1 = the student shows no attempt at demonstrating the 8 Studio Habits
