I am excited to have the opportunity to support our gifted & talented learners, along with all types of learners at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High. For 10 years, I enjoyed teaching a range of mathematics courses at this wonderful school. This is my fourth year as the GT Coordinator. I love that this position allows me to support kids, teachers, and families in new ways.
I grew up in Wisconsin and earned my bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. I taught at an Outdoor Education Science Camp, served as a logistics coordinator for Outward Bound West, worked at Noodles & Co., and held roles as an implementation planning budget analyst for Epic Systems Inc. and an inventory specialist for REI. I finally returned to my original passion, education, and earned my master's degree and teaching credential from the University of California - Berkeley. After three years of teaching high school in Northern California, my husband and I moved to Colorado to begin our family. We now have a lovely, spirited daughter in 5th grade at Manitou Springs Elementary. Outside of school, we love to hike, bike, climb, raft, travel, do puzzles, play games, and eat ice cream & pizza.
