Local Music Stores List

Purchase New/Used- Check with your band director if you need help deciding on a specific instrument for your student. Instrument stores sell new and refurbished instruments, but you may also find decent used instruments from craigslist/facebook marketplace. Used instruments often need a tune up before being played. Please do not order instruments from a non-reputable source. Here are some guidelines if you are looking to purchase an instrument.

D12 Instrument Rental/Purchase Guidelines

Renting from the school- usually reserved for baritones, tubas, and any student in need. $120 for the full year. Instruments are first-come, first-served (again, we try to reserve for students in need).

A note from Ms. Austin

My name is Andrea Austin, and I am delighted to be the band director at both Cheyenne Mountain Elementary and Pinon Valley Elementary.  I am so excited to share my knowledge and love for music with your student(s). We will have a blast, and make awesome music together!

I am originally from Pueblo, CO where I played in as many bands as I could. I have a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!), and I am currently working on a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

When I am not teaching, I am camping, hiking, snowboarding, gardening, or hanging out with my partner and our two silly dogs.
