About Myself

Hello Ridge Road Ravens! I am looking forward to meeting with you all and making this a great semester. I want to share a little bit about myself. I graduated from UNC Charlotte majoring in History and minoring in Secondary Education.This will be my first year teaching at Ridge Road Middle. Previously I student taught at Rocky River High School.

While on Campus I worked as a Facility Supervisor at Belk Gym. The organizations I was involved with were Collegiate 100, Autism Speaks, and Building Better Brothers. I've previously worked as a Teachers Assistant in a Freshman Seminar class for the College of Education. I was raised in Winston Salem , North Carolina and have one older brother whom graduated from NC A&T and one younger sister whom is a senior in high school. I'm a sports fanatic and enjoy being active in my spare time. I also enjoy playing video games.

The reason I became a teacher is I value the power of education. In the words of Nelson Mandela " Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. " I believe that knowledge is the key to true freedom. My goal is to engage and challenge all of my students to be the best version of themselves in and outside of the classroom.
