Below you will find information about auditions, the sign-up form, callbacks, and the material to prepare! Please note that because of the largely increased interest in our show this year, your student is not guaranteed a role in the show. Allow students to access these resources to practice and come prepared to their audition!
Students must be in 2nd-6th grade to audition! (25-26 school year)
Please select 2+ songs to sing at your audition (it is your choice based on what character(s) you are interested in).
*Any student can sing any song regardless of gender of the singer on the track or even if they aren't interested in that specific character.*
Audition Songs - October 13th OR 14th from 4:30-6:30
I've Got a Golden Ticket
Audition Cut : Beginning until "I've got a golden sun up in the sky!" (0:35)
*Select this song if you are interested in Charlie Bucket, one of the other kids, etc. (Charlie can be any gender).
Pure Imagination
Audition Cut : "If you want to view paradise.." (0:48 seconds) - end
*Select this song if you are interested in Willy Wonka or any other role. (Wonka can be any gender).
I Want It Now
Audition Cut : "I want the works.." (0:46) - end
*Select this song if you are interested in Veruca or another comical role.
Callback Auditions - October 16th from 4:30-6:00
If your student recieves a callback audition, you will be notified on or before Wednesday, October 15th. These will take place in the Chantilly Montessori gym on October 16th from 4:30-6:00. Not recieving a callback does not mean they are not cast. There are separate songs/sides that students will sing and read in a group setting. Preparation is not required for callbacks but encouraged if you feel inclined.
The students will learn this song as a group during the callbacks and sing through it : Oompa Loompa 4. If your student would like to listen to it beforehand, that is not required but available if they want to.
Callback Sides
"Sides" are scenes from the show that are cut in small skits for the students to read and act in a small group. Students will be shuffled around in different combinations/characters and perform for the group. They are linked below if students would like to read over beforehand, but not required.
