Welcome to the West Charlotte IB Website ! 

In 2005, West Charlotte High School became an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, initially offering the IB Diploma Programme (DP). As the program has grown, West Charlotte has expanded access to IB by now offering all three IB programmes: the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP).

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, promotes intercultural understanding and respect, not as an alternative to cultural or national identity, but as an essential component of life in the 21st century. The IB mission is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
