Meet Ms. Johnson
Ms. Johnson is a Charlotte native and a graduate of Garinger High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johnson C. Smith University and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Ms. Johnson is certified as a North Carolina School Library Media Coordinator, North Carolina Public Librarian, and National Board Certified Teacher (Renewed). She serves as a CMS DLLS PLC lead for middle and high school Media Coordinators and mentors first and second-year CMS Media Coordinators. Ms. Johnson was selected to participate in the 2023-2024 NC DPI West Central School Library Media Coordinator Collaborative.
Ms. Johnson is an At-Large Board Member of the Metrolina Library Association. She is a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Association of Educators, North Carolina Association of Educators, North Carolina Association of Educators National Board Certified Teacher Caucus, North Carolina School Library Media Association, life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Charlotte Alumnae Chapter), Charlotte Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Handbell Ringers and the Alfred Street Baptist Church Charlotte Village.
