Greetings Waddell staff and parents,

I am excited to start this new adventure at Waddell Language Academy as your school psychologist. In the past I have served mostly in elementary schools in CMS for the past 25 years. The last 10 years I’ve had great experiences serving at Ballantyne Elementary and Elon Park Elementary.

I would like to share with you the services that I hope to offer throughout the school year; however my services are not limited to just those mentioned below:

· I will be participating on the MTSS Intensive level teams where we will be problem solving and developing strategies to help students both academically and socially.

· I will be conducting psychoeducational evaluations with students who are referred for Exceptional Children’s Services.

· I may be observing students in your classrooms who may have challenges both academic and behavior. Thanks for allowing me to observe students.

· I am available to consult with you about students both formally and informally that you are concerned about.

· Meeting and consulting with parents is also what I do frequently. I am available to attend parent meetings as well.

· I will also be providing counseling services with students and will be working in conjunction with school counselors on some cases.

· I am available to speak with parents about anxiety, ADHD and any other mental health concerns.

· Helping students with anxiety is a special interest. I have supported many students with generalized anxiety, and test anxiety. These students often suffer silently, at school then fall apart at home. Please, let me know if you are concerned about a student who has these difficulties. I can help support them along with their assigned counselor.
