On November 15th, members of the middle school Student Council visited Carowinds to hear guest speaker, Tom Thelen. Tom spoke to students about ways to be resilient and how to seek help if they are being bullied or see someone being bullied. He also talked about how we feel, think, and what we say and do, develop our habits and eventually affect our character. The Student Council then enjoyed a fun-filled day at Carowinds.

MANCODE is a 1-day technology conference aimed to provide technological, educational and life skills trainings and opportunities for underrepresented young men in middle and high school. Students that participate will receive an educational excused absence. Parents will be responsible for dropping off and picking up.
