The homecoming game of 2019 was the South Mecklenburg Sabres vs The Harding Rams. South Meck has been preparing all year under Head Coach Evans, pushing them in and out of the weight room, preparing them mentally and physically while still teaching them how to be great young men in and out of classes.

The day of the game (Friday, October 18th) South Meck’s overall performance in the first half was incredible. Due to an amazing interception by Syncere Adams, we only allowed Harding six points in the first half. The second half of the game was even better than the first. South Meck tried their hardest to keep their teammates energetic with help from a big stadium filled with their family, friends, and huge support from our very own student section.

Despite South’s intensity and determination, it wasn't enough for the win the game, resulting in a final score of 26-0. There was a lot of love and energy from our proud Sabre family. Go Sabres!
