We interviewed a freshman girl and a sophomore boy that went to homecoming. I ended up interviewing Ari, a freshman girl who was going to homecoming. I asked her two questions: 1. How do you feel about this years homecoming dance? And 2. Do you have any plans, before or after homecoming? The interview went well. This is what happened:

Me: “So… How do you feel about this years homecoming dance?”

Ari: “Well for homecoming I think it’s like a really cool idea just one, it’s such a cool dance all grade levels can go to. In middle school we had like and 8th grade social and everything but it was never fun because some people had friends in like 6th or 7th grade. I was never a big person for dances and stuff but homecoming overall seems just like overall seems just.. I don’t really know ...”

Me: *Nods*

Me: “ Do you have any plans for like, before or after homecoming?”

Ari: “Well for after homecoming my friend is having like an after party, but it's more of just kind of a sleepover for friends. So that’s really it.”

Me: *nods*

I thought the interview went well and it seemed like she was going to have a fun night. She had some plans for after which seemed really fun. It was cool to see how someone else felt about homecoming.

We conducted another interview with a sophomore boy named Jacob. I asked him 3 questions having to do with the dance to see how he felt and get a core response from some of the student population.

Me: “What do you think about the new homecoming dance this year?”

Jacob: “I think it should be fun, I mean hopefully.”

Me: “That’s good! What are you plans for after homecoming?”

Jacob: “Might go to like an after party or something like that.”

Me: “Mhm, do you have any friends you’re going with?”

Jacob: “Mhm, going with the boys!”

I really liked talking to Jacob about the dance because it seemed like he had a set plan. He is very ‘chill’. I was glad to see that a student was excited and ready for our new and revived homecoming dance!
