My educational journey began in Ohio at Springfield High School. Once I completed High school, I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English at The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. I moved to Charlotte once I graduated in 2006 and began my teaching career at Northeast Middle School. As a teacher I was nominated and selected for the Leader's for Tomorrow initiative with CMS and Winthrop University. I went to further my education and earned my Master's degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina. I am happily married to my best friend and have two awesome little boys.
