About me
Sileni Iguina, M.Ed.
¡Hola!
As a native Spanish speaker born and raised in New England, I have come to appreciate culture and diversity in its many forms. In my early educational career I knew that I wanted to continue to foster my love for languages and culture. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Arts in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish from Framingham State University in Massachusetts.
My teaching career began in 2004 as a teacher to English language learners in an inner city school of Philadelphia, PA. A couple years later, my husband and I relocated to Central Florida where I have had the privilege to teach for the past thirteen years. During that time, I obtained a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Southeastern University.
As one of the newest member to the PHS family, I am eager to bring my knowledge and experience to the Foreign Language department; and I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm and love for learning to each student I get the pleasure to meet this year.
