About Your School Counselors
Ms. Jayden Valderrama:
Hello! My name is Jayden Valderrama, and I’m so excited to join Sharon Elementary School as an elementary school counselor. I earned my B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies, with minors in Counseling and Philanthropy & Nonprofit Studies, from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and my M.A. in School Counseling from Gonzaga University. I’ve had the privilege of working with students in both elementary and middle school settings, and I’m passionate about helping every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
As the oldest of three girls in a military family, I learned early on the value of resilience, adaptability, and connection; skills and values I bring to my work every day. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. My fiancé and I recently welcomed a sweet new puppy, Charlie, into our lives, and we’re loving the adventures of having a new puppy in our lives. I’m thrilled to call Charlotte home and can’t wait to get to know and support the incredible Sharon School students and families.
Mrs. Paige Seneker:
Hi! My name is Paige Seneker, and I am looking forward to returning to Sharon Elementary School this year as one of your school counselors. I received my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University, and I earned my M.S. and Ed.S. in School Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This year will be my 7th year as an elementary school counselor in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and I love supporting educators, students, and families every day.
My school counseling approach is rooted in genuine connection, and I value creativity, movement, and hands-on learning both in and out of the classroom. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and having quality time with loved ones. Music has always been a big part of my life - I met my husband in our high school marching band - and I can still play several musical instruments. A fun fact about me is that I have a twin brother.
I'm looking forward to another great year here at Sharon!
