The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Sedgefield Montessori works to aid the students, teachers and staff in their work as dedicated Montessorians and community of peaceful lifelong learners. Our PTO is fortunate to have a tradition of support among our families. Founded in 1991, it currently has over 700 voting members and over 25 committees that support our fundraising, community-building and communications.
Thanks to our community and its support of our PTO committees and fundraisers, we are able to support our school, teachers, students and families by:
Providing curriculum support and Montessori materials for our classrooms and students
Offering a variety of community-building events as well as student enrichment programs
Coordinating volunteer opportunities to support our classrooms and our broader community
Â
We encourage all families to join the PTO as voting members, volunteer their time, and attend our general PTO meetings. The partnership between our families, teachers and school administration is one of the many reasons why Sedgefield Montessori is such a special community.
