A new method for surveying land to build wells using a drone equipped with LiDAR and other sensors. They will build a drone equipped with a selection of sensors and use it to identify locations that are viable for drilling wells, making the process more reliable and faster than surveying on foot.

A search and relief drone capable of locating missing individuals and delivering emergency supplies to them in the event of disasters such as avalanches, wildfires, and hurricanes. Affordability and reduced reaction times over existing technologies are primary goals.

An app that helps people who may be experiencing hardship find resources such as shelter, food, or medicine. Users will be able to filter the features of the app based on location, budget, and preferences to meet their family's needs.

UNC Charlotte’s campus is crowded with cars, unsafe crossings, and slow transit, making it hard to get around quickly and safely. This project redesigns mobility with perimeter parking, a continuous shuttle loop, and protected walkways so people can move across campus faster and more safely without relying on cars.

A new method to turn heat from roads and large areas of asphalt, known as heat islands, into a source of renewable energy. Excess energy could be stored and used for various community needs, such as cooling buildings, generating healthier environments, and creating sustainable features.

This project hopes to develop and implement an app for areas affected by landmines and their legacy of danger. It would mark areas of high risk and automatically alert the community as they got too close or were at risk. Secondary goals could be developing mine-detecting rovers.

Lidar sensors will be used to scan the surrounding area and to adjust leg positioning and length. Passive artificial intelligence stabilization will be at the core of this breakthrough hardware.
