Primary Education Thinking Skills or PETS™ is a systematized enrichment and diagnostic thinking skills program. Lessons suitable for grades K-3 in convergent analysis, divergent synthesis, visual/spatial thinking, and evaluation are presented The program aligns to the higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Students learn and practice the thinking skills by using 6 different characters as triggers. The charcters are Dudley the Detective, Isabel the Inventor, Sybil the Scientist, Max the Magician, Yolanda the Yarnspinner, and Jordan the Judge.
The Junior Great Books (JGB) program combines high-quality literature, student-centered discussion, and activities that support reading comprehension, critical thinking, speaking and listening, and writing. JGB helps students get the most out of reading and interacting with their teachers and classmates, through Shared InquiryTM, a method of learning that gives teachers the approach they need to help their students succeed.
