My name is Cece Sizoo-Roberson and this is my fourth year teaching at Piedmont IB Middle School. Before arriving at Piedmont, I spent five wonderful years teaching math at James Martin Middle School. I am so excited to be at Piedmont and to continue to nurture the inquisitive minds here. I serve as the Head Coach of the Piedmont volleyball team-- a team that has won six consecutive conference championships. I also work as the Assistant Girl's Soccer Coach and keep the book during basketball season. This May, I was honored as the 2020 CMS Teacher of the Year and I am looking forward to the learning and opportunities this year brings.

I was born in Portland, Oregon, the land of freshly brewed coffee, bicycles, smiling faces and a whole lot of rain. I moved across the country in middle school and ultimately graduated from a CMS high school. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Haverford College, a small liberal arts college outside of Philadelphia, where I studied Education and Religious Philosophy. In June of 2017, I completed my Master's Degree in Urban Public School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.

In my spare time I enjoy watching the Duke Blue Devils crush the UNC Tarheels, spending time with friends and family, playing volleyball, and exploring this constantly expanding city.
