Individual counseling is one component of the school counseling program, which is offered in a confidential setting. Individual counseling goes for 6-8 weeks. A scholar can request to see a counselor by completing a "School Counselor Request" slip. Teachers and parents can also refer a scholar for counseling.
Small group counseling allows for scholars to work with their peers on similar topics. Topics may include social skills, friendships, study skills and or coping skills. Small group counseling lasts for 6-8 weeks.
Classroom lessons are delivered by the counselors for each grade level. The lessons content are based on social/emotional, career exploration and academics.
