In CMS, AIG services are provided through the implementation of the NEAT framework. The overall goal of the NEAT framework is to provide inclusive services for gifted and advanced learners to best support their growth, academic achievement, and social-emotional needs. Gifted education is a shared responsibility between AIG teachers and classroom teachers. Collaborative planning between AIG teachers and classroom teachers, inclusive practices, cluster and/or flexible grouping, and consistent implementation of advanced resources are all core components of the AIG NEAT Framework.
Information about gifted resources and strategies used at PSE will be shared at our annual DEP (Differentiated Education Plan) parent meeting.
Please contact Kelly Safran (kathryn.safran@cms.k12.nc.us) with any questions you may have about gifted service delivery.
