Prom FAQs
When is Prom? – Prom is Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 8:00pm – 12am.
Where is Prom? – The Fillmore. 820 Hamilton Street Charlotte 28206
How much do tickets cost? –$65 each.
When are tickets on sale? – Tickets will be sold April 22 - May 1 The venue requires a head count prior to prom, so, unfortunately, we will not be able to sell tickets after May 1.
How can I pay for tickets? - OSP Linked on the home page and below
How do I get the ticket I purchased on OSP? - Tickets will be distributed during homeroom on May 13. If you are absent on May 13, You can see Mrs. Simpson in room 134 after school on May 14 to pick up your ticket.
Parking? – There is a parking deck one block from The Fillmore on Hamilton Street. The parking fee will be paid to the ramp attendant. PHS will not take payment for parking.
Do I have to dress to the prom theme? - No. You can, but the theme is just about the décor chosen by the Junior Board.
What is dress the dress code? - Formal wear. If you are worried that your formal wear might be in violation of dress code, bring a photo to an administrator for approval, prior to prom.
Do I need to fill out a guest form to bring someone to prom? - If your guest doesn't currently go to Providence, you will need to complete a guest form and bring it to Mrs. Simpson in room 134 no later than May 3. You will need to provide a completed background check form, and a photocopy of a valid picture ID. Age limit for guests is 20 years old. If you do not provide a completed guest form with a printed copy of their picture ID by May 3, your guest's ticket will be voided and refunded. Please do not bring the actual ID card. We don’t have a photocopier available.
How do I get a background check form? – There will be a folder of Background check forms across from the door to room 134 prior to, and during prom ticket sales, or you can print a copy from the home page of the Providence HS Prom site.
What if my zoned school is Providence but I go to Levine/CPCC/Graduated early? - You are no longer a Providence student and will need to come to prom as the guest of a current Providence student.
Anything else I need to know? –Only juniors and seniors can purchase prom tickets. An underclassman can only attend prom as the guest of a junior or senior.
