I was raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa and have Bahamian roots. I often joke that I'm a country island girl. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Lenoir Rhyne University and my Master's of Education in Professional School Counseling from North Carolina State University.  I have been an elementary school counselor since 2015. I have four children: Karter  (10), Teal (4), Kinza (2), and Comet who will turn 1 in October 2023. I'm passionate about learning any and all things. I love eating and cooking, practicing yoga, listening to music, exploring different cultures, and visiting new places!
