IHS Vocal Director
I have been a Vocal Music Director, Orchestra Director, Theatre Arts Teacher, and AP Music Theory Instructor since 2003. I also worked for Sylvan Learning Center in my spare time teaching SAT/ACT classes and College Writing preparation.
I have lived in Florida almost all my life, but I am originally from Illinois. I missed the colder weather and changing of the seasons and when offered an opportunity to relocate to NC, seized the opportunity.
I pretty much have been involved with music all my life ever since I was a young boy either singing, playing the piano, or acting on stage. I have always enjoyed helping others and throughout my High School career, I found myself actively involved in the church. After graduating from Port Charlotte Hight School, I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida... graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. I also was involved with the fraternity Phi Mu Alpha in which I advanced my friendship with many others who had the same love and passion for the Arts as I did. Upon graduation, I began teaching and became fully certified. In 2011, I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master's in Educational Leadership.
It has been a wonderful opportunity teaching and working with kids of different levels and I am very glad to be working with our future.
