2) Below is a Quizlet about family members, adjectives, and the calendar. Practice this in Quizlet. Test yourself!!
3) You also have a worksheet about family members & another about adjectives. (There are copies of them also below). Using these 2 things translate the following sentences into English:
1. Otousan wa 「Frankenstein」 desu. Otousan wa ookii desu. Kowai desu. Demo okashii desu.
2. Okaasan wa 「Taylor Swift」 desu. Okaasan wa kirei desu. Segatakai desu. Demo urusai desu.
3. おじいさん は 「Abraham Lincoln」 です。おじいさん は せがたかい です。 でも、 あたまがいい です。
4. おとうとさん は 「Tweety Bird」 です。おとうとさん は かわいい です。 でも、 ずるい です。
5. おばあさん は 「Marge Simpson」 です。おばあさん は みにくい です。 でも、 やさしい です。
•Choose 6 different family members (Grandfather, Grandmother, Father, Mother, Big Brother, Big Sister, Little Brother, Little Sister, Cousin, Uncle, & Aunt. Friend may also be used). Then pick a well known person (living or dead), anime character, etc. to be each family member. (ie. your dad is Homer Simpson).
•Illustrate each person by drawing them, cut outs from magazines, using photos from the web, clip art, etc.
•Write at least 2 sentences describing him/her using the adjectives we have studied. Use conjunctions like "but", "also", and "therefore"
•For extra credit: 1. Write extra sentences about each family member. (Age, birth month, nationality, languages they can/can't speak, etc., etc. 2. Do extra family members. 3. Use more difficult sentence types (see O Sensei for details)
*Remember: Doing the minimums perfectly will only get you a B. Do the extra credit for an A.
