Frequently Asked Questions

Q: It's my child's birthday! Can I send a treat? Birthday invitations?

A: We love celebrating each other's special days! However, it is important that every child is included in celebrating. For that reason, treats must be store bought and include an ingredient label, to prevent allergy concerns. I suggest ordering from the cafeteria. Please let me know ahead of time when you are providing treats.

Birthday invitations may only be passed out if the entire class is invited. I can help you with contact info privately, if a smaller number of children are invited.

Q: Do you have a snack during the day?

A: We have an early lunch, so students will be permitted to enjoy an afternoon snack. Please send something easy and quick to clean up. Desserts will only be eaten during lunch time.

Q: Can I come in and volunteer?

A: I would love to use parents as volunteers! In order for me to plan to use you more effectively, please email me to set up a time.

Q: Can my child go home with a classmate?

A: With a note, students may be dismissed with another family. However, transportation only allows students to ride their assigned bus, so your child may only go home with a friend as a walker or car rider.
