Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Natalie McKoy and I am thrilled to be your child’s 2021-2022 teacher. This is my third year at Sharon and I am excited for another great year teaching Kindergarten!

I grew up right down the road from Sharon Elementary and attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Kindergarten through 12^th grade. I knew in Kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher and I am so excited to be back where my love for learning developed to live out my dream! I graduated from East Carolina University (go Pirates!) with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a K-12 Reading Certification.

When not in Charlotte, I am usually spending time at Topsail Island with my family and friends. I enjoy making frequent beach trips and have always considered Topsail to be my home away from home. I also love to explore different cities across the states and have started extending my travels to other countries. My favorite trip was to Madrid, Spain where I spent the summer of 2019 working as an au pair!

I am thankful to have the opportunity to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher and help build their foundation for learning.
