About Me
Welcome to the 2021-2021 school year at Governors’ Village STEM Academy! I am Ms. Jamison, your 7th and 8th grade School Counselor. This year is my 16th year of being a School Counselor. I am also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Associate. My hobbies include traveling out of the country, reading, going to concerts, walking, listening to music, doing puzzles, and volunteering. Two fun facts about me are that I collect silver spoons from every place I travel to and I love Broadway shows-I’ve been to 20 so far. I love being a school counselor and below are some of the topics that I help students with:
* Assisting students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities
*Decision making, resolving conflict and respecting others
* Working with students, parents, and school staff to identify learning needs and to design interventions to enhance student success
* Providing support during a personal crisis
* Working with students on attendance issues
* Coordinating referrals to outside agencies
*Selecting classes
* Making friends
* Studying
* Organization
