Thank you so much for stopping by my page. My name is Kelly Baker, and I serve as an Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher here at Sharon. I work with students who receive support through the Exceptional Children’s program, which provides individualized instruction tailored to meet the unique learning needs of those who qualify for the services. The mission of our program is to ensure that every student with a disability is given the opportunity to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and vocationally within the least restrictive environment possible. We believe in helping our students reach their fullest potential by building on their strengths and supporting their areas of need. This year marks my 13th year in education and my 4th year as part of the Sharon community. Watching students grow, learn, and thrive is the best part of my job—and I feel honored to play a part in their journey. Prior to joining Sharon, I taught for Cabarrus County Schools. I'm excited for another great year ahead in 2025–2026!
A little more about me.. I graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and double majored in Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education K-6. Outside of school I enjoy working out, being outdoors and adventuring up in the mountains, going to music concerts and spending time with my friends and family.
