My name is Ms. Bennett. I am a fellow Vance graduate! I earned my CMS diploma (as you all will!) in 2010 from this very school. I attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte immediately after and graduated with my Bachelor's in English in 2015 and earned my English Education Certificate in 2018.

English is my passion. As a high school student, I will admit that I did not have a favorite subject while I was an underclassman. Please know that if you are in the same boat, that is perfectly fine! You will find your passion along the way of life. My English III and IV teachers were stern and directive, but they ignited a passion within me to read and write on a more critical level. I went to college to pursue Nursing, quickly discovered that the healthcare field was NOT for me, and finally moved forward to pursue English. I haven't looked back since!

Personally, I am a HUGE Disney fan. Anything Disney-related, you can guarantee that I know it! My top three Disney movies are:

1. The Lion King (the 1994 version, NOT the monstrosity that was released in 2019....)

2. Tarzan (the soundtrack is beautiful!)

3. The Princess and the Frog (HARD WORK will always pay off in the end!)

I am a proud Leo! (Born on 8/13)! I am the oldest of five. My youngest sister is 8 years old! We are 20 years apart, but super close. She's a huge part of my life and I love her to pieces.

Likes: Determination, effort, gold jewelry, Autumn, Amazon Prime, lazy days, Netflix, Vanilla Coke, and loaded nachos

Dislikes: Bananas, oatmeal, okra, perfectionists, the color gray, commercials, slow drivers, and breakfast foods (give me lunch any day, all day!)
