My name is Brad Van Horn. I am from Conover, NC about an hour and 15 minutes north of Charlotte. I attended and graduated from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!!) in Greenville, NC with a Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Park Management with a concentration in Sports Leadership. After College I worked as an Industrial Engineer Assistant in the furniture business. I left that career to join the BIG I Family in 2017 and have been here ever since. I worked for 3 years as an EC Assistant at Independence before transitioning to the CTE Business Department last fall. I love teaching high school students. In my spare time you can probably find me at a football field. I coach football as part of my extracurricular duties which allows me to spend more time developing relationships with students. I truly enjoy their energy, curiosity, and life that they bring to the learning process.
