About Mrs. Byrne

Hi! I'm Kathleen Byrne. This is my seventh year teaching second grade at Dilworth! I have also taught 5th, 2nd, 1st and TD classes in New York City and Greenwich, CT.  I am a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University where I earned a Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education and the College of the Holy Cross where I majored in English. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

My husband, Tony, and I are the lucky parents of five children. Thomas lives and works here in Charlotte and Mary Kate lives and works in Washington, D.C. Edward is a senior at Appalachian State University, Henry is a freshman at University of North Carolina Charlotte and s Caroline is a freshman at North Carolina State University.

 I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
