I am truly looking forward to meeting each new parent and students alike. I know you may have mixed feelings about starting a school year remotely from home but I want to reassure you that we are in this together and we will make this school year count! I have a passion for teaching and if you promise to lend me your ear, I will give you my heart and teach you what you need to know! This year will definitely be different but if we work together, you will learn and grow!

2/10/21: Here is some information to help you begin to prepare for your child's return to school if they will be returning in Group A or Group B.
Students will have a temperature check prior to entering the building from carpool and f the bus lot.
Students with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be screened by the nurse, sent to the Isolation Room and parents will be called.
A student who presents with a temperature in carpool will not be able to enter the building and must return home with the parent.

- Screening via QR code: I am including the QR code in this email. You will need a QR reader on your phone and your child's ID number to complete the required screening process each day.
Student symptoms screener QR code:
- The Attestation form must be completed at the beginning of every week and the child must have the form in hand prior to boarding a CMS bus.
Please note the forms in the attachments.
Students will not be allowed to drink from the water fountains.
We have received cups for those students who do not come prepared with a water bottle.
All breakfasts and lunches will be distributed to classrooms, with students eating in classrooms.

Hello families please read this update from the District,
All CMS K–12 students will begin full remote learning from December 14 through January 15. In-person return for K–12 will begin Jan. 19. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education voted at its Dec. 8 meeting to return to remote instruction until Jan. 19 for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The decision takes effect on Monday, Dec. 14. All CMS K–12 students will begin full remote learning from December 14 through January 15.

On Thursday, July 30, the CMS Board of Education approved all schools will begin the 2020-2021 school year in Plan C. All students will be in a remote instructional setting; no in-person instruction will occur until further notice.
Governors’ Village Morehead Upper Campus: 5th through 8th Grades; 9:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m. We will adhere to each campus’ instructional hours during Remote Learning and daily schedules will be shared on our website and on Canvas.
