LOGGING INTO A CHROMEBOOK FROM HOME
Logging into a Chromebook with your CMS account on your home network is three steps. Please follow the steps below to log on to your Chromebook and our Zscaler filtered network.
Note: All students have a CMS issued Google Apps for Education account.
Log in to the Chromebook with your Google account information.
Username: StudentID@student.cms.k12.nc.us
K Password: Cmsx2034
1st Grade Password: Cmsx2033
2nd Grade Password: Cmsx2032
3rd - 8th Grade Password: YYYYMMDD (Birthdate)
When you login a tab will pop up with directions.
You will not be able to type on this tab.
Open a new tab and go to drive.google.com
When you do this a filtering system will pop up.
Now enter your email address WITHOUT the word student in the domain.
Username: studentID@cms.k12.nc.us
(NO "STUDENT")
AFTER THE @ SYMBOL
Here you will sign in as you did on the last page with your student’s email without the word student in the domain.
Example: 12345678@cms.k12.nc.us
PASSWORD for all grades on this screen is...
Password: YYYYMMDD (Birthdate)
