General Announcements

Students who meet the criteria below may be exempt from taking a final exam in a course that does not require participation in a state-required (i.e CTE) or End of Course Assessment:

Scholarship Opportunities/Creek Cash! Make time to search for scholarships. Set aside 30-45 minutes to work on scholarship applications and stick to your plan. The process can feel overwhelming at times, but if you apply to scholarships in chunks, the task may feel more attainable.

End of Year Testing

AP Exams

AP Exams will be in person, on campus. AP exams are slated for May 6-17th. We will have morning and afternoon exams. Students should be on campus 30 minutes prior to the exam time (7:30 and 11:30 arrival) with pencils, a calculator (if needed), and a beverage/snack. All personal items need to be in a clear bag. Locations will be posted outside B204 and outside of the media center.

STAMP/World Language

World Languages Levels 1 & 2 EOY finals (NCVPS students DO NOT do STAMP testing). French and Spanish 1 & 2 will administer the STAMP test to all students enrolled (does not include NCVPS students) Part 1: May 1-3 & Part 2: May 28-30. Your teachers will discuss the details and logistics with their students regarding this two-part exam. It will be administered via CMS Chromebooks, and is done in-person. Makeup testing for STAMP students will be given 5/31 or 6/7.  These make up a test grade AND final exam grade, which is 20% of the overall grade. Seniors must finish by 5/24! Seniors will do Part 2 in B204 on 5/24.

Semester 2 Finals – EOCs & Teacher-made

This year, all end-of-year exams will take place during the last week of school, June 3-7. Because Mallard Creek is not separating teacher-made finals and End-of-Course testing sessions, our testing environment must be uninterrupted and meet state required compliance.

On all exam days, all students must remain in their exam location until the school-wide testing session is over. There will be no early release passes during exam week. All students will be dismissed between 12:15pm-12:30pm on exam days.

These are required to be given on campus and count as 20% of the final grade. Students must arrive by 7:15 or risk missing their final and taking it on the make-up day; We will dismiss at 12:30pm each day. Breakfast and lunch will be served for free to those who want them. Most students will test in their classroom, but some will be testing in alternate locations for EOCs/CTEs.  If you are in an EOC or CTE tested class, please check your student email for details on those exams. Cell phones, smartwatches, fitness trackers are prohibited at all testing desks/stations.
