About Me

I grew up all over the east coast, but spent most of my childhood between West Virginia, Ohio and Georgia. Recently, North Carolina was officially home the longest!

I attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. My undergraduate program included Microbiology, Physical Sciences, Hydrology, Geology and Environmental Science. Miami University provided me with the unique opportunity to complete my courses of study in Botany, Biology, and Cultures in Kenya, Africa. I also completed French Cultural studies in Paris, France during my Middle School years. The world has so much to teach us!

This is my second year teaching at South Charlotte Middle School but I am no stranger to SCMS. Over the past 6 years I have been an SCMS Parent, Student Mentor, Volunteer, Odyssey of the Mind Coach, and Science Olympiad Adviser. I am also the Girls Volleyball Coach and both Boys and Girls Head Track Coach.

My husband, myself and our 3 children have lived in North Carolina for over 10 years. Our home is South Charlotte, and we love being an active part of this community.
