About

What is makerspace?

A MakerSpace is a collaborative workspace inside a school, library, or separate public/private facility for making, learning, exploring, and sharing things that use high-tech to no tech tools. We provide hands-on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence.

Makerspace @ PHS

The MakerSpace Club was created in the 2017-2018 school year and is sponsored by Mrs. Spohn. MakerSpace was created with a goal in mind to enhance students' critical thinking skills and creativity, but more importantly to create a place for students to feel safe and comfortable with expressing their ideas. The club has continually improved to better integrate itself as well as students into Providence High School. This would not be possible without the coordinated efforts of our club advisor and officers.
