Spanish is the 2nd most spoken native language in the world (after Mandarin Chinese). This language has approximately 460 million native speakers. It is the official or national language in 21 countries, including Spain, Mexico, and most countries in Central and South America. There is even a Spanish-speaking country in Africa! It is also the most studied second language in the USA and 3rd most studied in the world!

I am excited to be your Spanish teacher!

I was born in South Carolina. However, I grew up in Greenville, NC.

I moved to Charlotte after I graduated from college in 2008.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education and a minor in Sociology

from Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina.

I have been working at Lansdowne Elementary for almost 17 years!

Spanish is not my 1st language. I learned it in school and fell in love with it.
