Ms. Aldridge's Cubs

A Million Words Or Less….

Dear Parents,

Hi, My name is Ms. Kimberly Aldridge and I will be your child’s new teacher replacing the amazing Ms. Sonya Mayes. To tell you a little about myself in a million words or less. I have been an educator for 11 years, and I am extremely passionate about education. I am thrilled to become part of your child’s educational experience. I am a believer in keeping a strong open line of communication between home and school. After all we have something in common, your amazing child. You are your child’s first teacher and know them better than anyone. I would love to start off by getting a glimpse of who your child really is. What makes them so amazing? What does he/she struggle with? What are their hobbies and special talents?

I am asking that you write or email me about your child in a million words or less ☺️I will strive to make this transition as flawless as possible. This information is confident and for me only.  It will give me a better understanding into who your child is and how I can assist them with being successful this school year and the future. Yes, I have learned a little about your child already, and will learn more through our time together… but why wait?

Please know I am not judging your writing. I don’t care about spelling or grammar. I care about what you have to say. This will truly help make this a team effort. It could be as long or as short as you want.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your child this year, and thank you for taking time to tell me about your child.

Thank you so much,

A Little About Ms. Aldridge...

I have worked in education as a tutor since the age of fourteen, but I officially decided to make it my life's career in 2012. I am a strong believer in education and the potential of all children, so teaching was an easy choice for me. I began working in a private learning center in Charlotte, NC.  I decided in 2013 to bring my skills to Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, and began working at Morehead Stem Academy. I chose to switch to secondary education in 2014, and now I am proud to be a West Charlotte Lion.  This is my 10th year with CMS and I am beyond ecstatic to work with you and your child. I think every kid needs a champion and I am delighted that you have allowed me the opportunity to be your child's champion.
